After the judging is finished, the whistle will be blown to signal the start of the Launch period. You have 30 minutes to put your entry in the water and try them out. Boats will be launched one at a time. Once your boat is launched, please move it out of the way for others, and so we can video record the launchings unobstructed. Boats can be removed from the water, moved away from the immediate launch area (e.g. to the bank farther down, the dock), or operated within the lagoon area.
Once everyone has launched their boats (those that survive launch) the whistle will be blown. This is the start of the Shakedown period. You have ten minutes to get your boat to the starting line. This period will be clearly announced. At the end of the ten minute starting period, the race officially begins at the sound of the whistle. Run the course (which will be clearly marked and explained) and be the first one back to the dock to win! Lunch will be served after the race, at which time the winners of the judged categories will be announced.
